I remember Brian calling me about two weeks out, asking me to paint his portrait for the event. I finished just in time, got in my car at about 2 a.m., and left for Philly using MapQuest. Those were the days! I drove through the night, and I remember seeing Philly’s cityscape as the sun came up. I was wrecked when I got there, but the excitement of the event energized me. Amazing trip, and I was even more awake driving home!
