“This amazing mixed-media portrait of me…is a very unique piece of art that took him months. I’m truly honored.” – Sandi Morris

This was the most challenging portrait I have painted. Full-color 30 x 40in is the largest size watercolor board I work on, and headshots have a high degree of difficulty, especially Sandi’s action shots reflecting in her sunglasses. My dad had recently passed, so, on the personal side, that made this piece all the more difficult. This piece was commissioned to support Sandi’s quest for gold at the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
